Eielson Pics and Ree Nancarrow's Quilt

The visitor center at the part entrance is a new building and has one of Ree Nancarrow's quilts.

Eielson Vistor Center is new, built into the hill in order to give the visitor an unobstructed view of Denali. We didn't see the mountain today, but the building was impressive. Ree's quilt a must see!

Denali, Kantishna and Quilts

The last three days we spent in beautiful Denali National Park. Even on a cloudy day the park is breathtaking. We flew up to Kantishna on Tuesday in a brand new plane and then started our drive back to the entrance of the park. Wonderlake, moose, fox and a mama bear and two yearling cubs. Next was Eielson Vistor Center and Ree Nancarrow's amazing art quilt of Denali.

The Best Mother's Day Ever

Last Mother's Day my wonderful daughter surprised me with a concert on our driveway. Ride the Tiger is the bands name and the members were all students from APU. It was loud, fun and I was speechless. I encourage all parents to let their daughters play electric guitar.

Desert Road Trip

We traveled in a Volvo sportscar; heated seats, 300 HP, the most comfortable leather seats, I love being spoiled. We found a small church near Concho, Arizona. Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona still have the wide open spaces you expect in the west.

Scottsdale and Tucson

Cactus, sunsets and beautiful horses. The desert was green from winter rains and arabian horses are creatures of the desert. Scottsdale was a perfert setting for an arabian and half arabian horse show.

More Pictures of Todos Santos

A few more pictures of Todos Santos. Brown Pelicans were all along the beaches, beautiful to watch these large birds skim along the water. The palomino in the picture escaped from the corral one night, we could hear the clip clop of the horse mixed with cursing in spanish.

Pictures from Todos Santos

January 2008 we traveled to Mexico. Here are some pictures of our trip to Todos Santos, a small town on the Baja. The beaches were beautiful, we saw gray whales just off the shore seeming to roll in the sand. It was amazing, their heads or body would come out of the water. On one evening there were 5 whales very close to the beach.
